Anti-Aging Solutions
Let me start by saying I am thrilled that I found Skin Perfect Brothers. I’ve been coming here regularly for a few years and they’ve been right there to help me with the inevitable signs of age that are now appearing at age 40. During my visit Joseph suggested IPL for my freckles/aging spots I had all over my chest. I decided to get it done. Which was the best decision I could have made. I am so happy with the results so far it’s amazing. Naomi H. |La Verne, CA
Do you struggle with spots on your face from overexposure to the sun? The dry, wrinkled area surrounding your face may be from cumulative damage from the sun! Sunspots are also known for being age spots, brown spots, or liver spots. When your skin is unprotected from the sun, it may develop these brown, freckle-like spots and patches. So are they preventable? Absolutely! With some laser methods and topical creams that we offer on-site!
The Spectra Green Laser is a deep penetrating laser with a 532 nm wavelength. It causes minimal to no pain and is ideal for eye and brow areas.
Watch this video of the Spectra Green Laser treatment.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), also known as Photo Genesis, Photo Facial or Photorejuvenation, is an incredible new skin-rejuvenation treatment that works by emitting light which penetrates the superficial layers of the skin, ridding you of various skin discolorations.
IPL is a great way to quickly, safely, and comfortably improve your skin’s texture, tone and color without the use of gel or topical anesthetics. IPL is exceptionally effective at removing brown pigmented lesions such as age spots, sun spots, and freckles as well as diffusing redness such as rosacea. It can be used on your face, chest, arms, and hands, leaving clearer, younger looking skin.
As shown in the diagram, this laser penetrates deeper than Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) for the removal of sunspots. While most sunspots will respond to IPL, some are deeper within the skin and require lasers such as the Spectra Green Laser, which is more effective than IPL in most cases. It is safe to use on sensitive areas near the eye or eyelid as the 532 nm wavelength does not penetrate beyond the full thickness of the eyelid’s skin.
Things You Need to Know
Melasma are:
1. Bigger than sunspots, borders not well defined
2. Lighter than sunspots because they are deeper
3. Mostly patchy
4. Mostly around cheek area(s) on both sides, although other parts of the face can be involved
Sunlight greatly increases the formation of any type of hyperpigmentation. In addition to avoiding sun exposure, “Suppression Therapy” – the daily use of cosmeceuticals that suppress the activation of melanocytes in sunlight – is highly effective in combating the symptoms of hyperpigmentation.
Factors that stimulate hyperpigmentation:
If you suffer from hyperpigmentation, you may want to consider implementing an anti-inflammatory detox diet, getting good sleep, going for some daily exercise, and taking antioxidants supplements. An IV infusion of Liver Detox, Anti-Aging treatments, and Skin Lightening programs are also available at our professional medspa.
